Family fun!

We took the kids out to the Goldfield Ghost Town, and it was well worth the 45-minute drive! Most of the locals we mentioned it to were unaware of where/what it is, but it was a busy place. Just big enough to see the key points in an afternoon, like one little piece of Heritage Park. The costumed characters were great, and the mine tour was especially fun. Panning for gold and gems turned out to be a really nice activity to have the kids sitting and focused, picking gold flecks, garnets, pyrite, etc., with tweezers. Even our 3yr old had awesome patience and collected lots of special stones. We would definitely go again.
